Blue Crane Works builds, hosts and runs managed websites for businesses in Hamilton, Ontario and the surrounding towns, for $0 up front and $100 a month on a twelve-month term. Every site is built so Google, Bing and AI assistants can reach it, read it and quote its facts correctly, and that work is included rather than sold as an extra. Local work includes a 41-year-old Dundas clothing shop and two Grimsby garage door companies.

What does a website cost in Hamilton, Ontario?

Ours is $0 up front and $100 a month on a twelve-month term. That covers the build, the hosting, the changes you ask for, and the technical work that makes the site readable by search engines and assistants. Add-ons are $50 a month each. There is no separate setup fee and no design deposit.

We publish the reasoning, and what the two other ways of buying a website actually cost, in what does a business website cost in Hamilton in 2026. The short version: a one-off project has no mechanism for staying current, so it decays until it needs replacing, and the replacement is quoted as a fresh project.

Do you do SEO in Hamilton as well, or just the website?

It is the same job here, not a second invoice. A site we build is crawlable, has real headings, real text in the HTML, a sitemap, and pages that answer the questions your customers actually type. That is most of what an SEO retainer does in its first three months, and we do it as part of building the thing.

What we will not do is promise you a ranking. Bing states the limit in its own guidelines: "SEO does not guarantee rankings or traffic, and GEO does not guarantee grounding or citations in AI experiences." Anyone quoting you a position on Google is quoting something they do not control. We guarantee the work and show you the measurements.

What about local search and Google Maps?

That is a separate system from your website and it matters for a local business. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, and your Google Business Profile is what feeds it. We make sure the profile and the website agree with each other, because when they disagree every machine reading both has to pick one, and you do not get to choose which.

The same facts feed AI answers about local businesses, which we go through in does my Google Business Profile matter for AI answers.

Which areas do you actually cover?

We are in Hamilton, Ontario and work across the region: Dundas, Ancaster, Stoney Creek, Waterdown, Burlington, Oakville, Grimsby, Beamsville, St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, and remotely elsewhere in Ontario. We are naming the towns we have actually delivered in rather than listing every place within an hour's drive.

What local work can I look at?

Two are public, with the numbers, and both are businesses in this region rather than stock examples:

BusinessWhereWhat changed
AmarettosDundasA 41-year-old clothing shop taken from one page to twenty-eight, with every crawler verified. Case study.
Garage DoormanGrimsbyTwo companies, two domains, 55 pages, both moved off Wix, zero audit blockers. Case study.

If you want to check our own work rather than our clients', run any page on this site through a crawler test, or read the AI Visibility Pass page, which publishes the readout for this domain including the rows that are not flattering.

Why would a Hamilton business care about AI answers?

Because a growing share of "who does X near me" now gets answered rather than listed, and an answer names one or two businesses instead of ten. Pew found that people click a link far less often when an AI summary appears above the results. If the assistant cannot read your site, you are not in the running for that answer, and no ranking report will tell you.

This is the part of the job most web designers do not do, and it is free to check. Our checker fetches your homepage the way a browser does and the way OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and bingbot do, and tells you in about ten seconds whether they are getting the same page. If it comes back clean we tell you that too, and you do not need us.

The full explanation is in why isn't my business showing up in ChatGPT, which goes through the six reasons in the order worth checking.

How do we start?

Run the free check, or send us the address of your current site and what you wish it did. We will tell you whether you need a new site or whether yours can be fixed, and we do say the second one when it is true. There is no call you have to sit through first.

Want this checked and fixed on your site?

The AI Visibility Pass runs every check in this article against your live site, fixes what it finds, and hands you the proof. Fixed quote, written guarantee. On a managed website it is included from launch.
