Blue Crane Works Inc. is a Hamilton, Ontario company with two lines of work: managed websites for local businesses, and applications for trades and growing companies. We build both and we run both. Not an agency, not a reseller.
Blue Crane Works Inc. is a Hamilton, Ontario company with two lines of work. We design, build, host and run managed websites for local businesses, written so search engines and AI assistants can read them and quote their facts correctly. And we build business applications for trades and growing companies: our own software, and custom systems and integrations on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. We also own Wire, the trade media network those businesses advertise on.
Customers come in through one door and usually end up using both. The website brings the calls in. The applications run the work that follows. One team builds both, runs both and answers the phone.

Trade traffic we own, sold as advertising. Wire is the network; Local Wire is one of its titles, alongside reference sites we publish: the Ontario Trade Registry, the Trades Tax Calculator and Hamilton Home Costs. One property is not sold as advertising: 905 Trades is a referral network, sending homeowners across the 905 to one vetted contractor per trade, paid by the contractor. Trades can apply to join it. Trevor Stuckless is a 433A millwright who spent more than eighteen years in plants, factories, renovations and maintenance before writing a line of code. He founded Blue Crane Works to build the system he never had on those job sites, and every product here is still built and answered by him. He lives in Dundas, Ontario with his wife and three children.
There are two realities for business owners. In the first, the business runs smoothly with a team behind it, making sure everyone has the right documents and every bill gets paid. In the second, the owner scrapes by, largely unnoticed, trying to keep track of everything but too busy to actually focus on the admin.

We build on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. Your data stays in your tenant, your people sign in with the account they already have, and your business does not inherit one more vendor login nobody remembers.
