Where it started
Two Wix sites, each broken in a different way. Neither problem was visible to the owner, which is the point of this kind of work: the damage only shows up in what Google and the AI assistants do with you.
- The residential site had about ten indexable pages, and its Services page still carried the template's original kitchen remodeling copy
- Well over a hundred Google reviews sat behind a widget that no longer rendered, so the strongest trust signal the business owned was invisible
- The commercial site was set to noindex site-wide: zero pages in Google, for a division trying to win facility managers who search before they call
- Both domains had live company email riding on their DNS, which made the eventual move a job you only get to do wrong once
What we built
34 residential pages and 21 commercial pages, each with its own address, title, description and structured data: every service, every city served, and a guides section that answers the questions people actually type at 9 pm when a door will not close.
Every page ships a clean Markdown twin built from the same source as the visible page, and the server hands it to any AI tool that asks. The homepage drops from 47,068 bytes of HTML to 10,041 bytes of Markdown, 79 percent smaller.
A robots file with a deliberate decision for each AI crawler, a sitemap with honest dates, a plain-language llms.txt, content signals, and a proper 404 page. Nothing default, nothing accidental.
Every deploy is checked before it ships: duplicate titles, broken structured data, a lost Markdown twin, a dead internal link or an accidental noindex all fail the build. The quality is enforced by tooling, not by memory.
The part nobody sees: leaving Wix without breaking anything
Both domains carried the company's working email, and the residential domain carried years of Google rankings. The move preserved both. Mail records were carried across intact, the ranking address never changed, and every address from the old sites now points permanently at its closest matching new page, so nothing a customer bookmarked or Google indexed leads to a dead end.
Wix also does not let go of a domain quietly: even with the records pointed correctly at the new host, Wix still held each hostname inside the hosting layer until it was formally unassigned, serving its own certificate the whole time. Knowing where that trap is, and how to prove whose infrastructure is actually answering, is the difference between a clean cutover and a day of downtime.
Measured results, not vibes
Every number below is from the launch audits run against the live domains, checked against Google's and Bing's published rules. We do not promise rankings or citations; Bing's own guidelines say nobody can. We promise the site gives them no reason to look elsewhere.
See them live
The proof is public. Visit the residential Garage Doorman site or the Commercial Garage Doorman site, or ask your favourite AI assistant about garage door repair between Hamilton and Niagara and see who it can actually read.
What this was
This engagement was the full version of the AI Visibility Pass: the audit, the rebuild, the domain moves, the registrations and the written report, delivered as one fixed-quote project.
