Does Alberta require a hazard assessment before work starts?
Yes. Part 2 of the Alberta OHS Code (Hazard Assessment, Elimination and Control) requires employers to assess hazards, put controls in place, repeat the assessment when the site or the operations change, and make sure workers are informed. What is a proper invoice under Alberta’s prompt payment rules?
Alberta’s Prompt Payment and Construction Lien Act starts its payment deadlines from a “proper invoice” — an invoice that meets the Act’s content requirements.
